Flashy Showy-ness of Nature! :: July 20th, 2010
This summer has been a busy one with McKay’s Photography! Between being the President of the Greater Rochester Professional Photographers, a member of the Professional Photographers Society of New York State’s future planning committee, the Education Chairperson for Greener Photographers, taking workshops, photographing weddings and portraits, getting my Certification from the Professional Photographers of America and all the other stuff going on with being self-employed… I decided to take a tiny little vacation and completely unplug!
You see, I had to be in Albany for a PPSNYS Council meeting on Monday and then back up in the Adirondacks on Friday for Sean and Brittany’s rustic and green wedding, so why drive back and forth? Luckily, a Photographer friend recommended a hotel and camp on the Fourth Lake that was perfect. No internet, spotty cell phone reception, plenty of hiking trails and swimming in the lake right out the front door. I even got to practice my banjo. Ah, peaceful. Of course, I still had a lot of work to do and brought some wediting (wedding editing) as well as a conference call that I needed to participate in…. All in all, it was a beautiful week and nice to sit quietly alone in contemplation before the next busy wave in my schedule! Here are just a few images from my daily hikes around the ADK!

Hi Kamay,
I love these pics! They would make great calendars or pics on the wall. How do I purchase a few of them?
Thanks. Take care.
Mimi
Thank you, Meemer!! So sweet of you to say! I hadn’t thought about your question, however I like the way you think… I’ll get the online and let you know when I do. Your walls have lots of open space for some art, that’s for sure….
XO, Kamay.
