Artisan Works Wedding with Lisa and Steve – Now ONLINE! :: April 27th, 2010
Rochester, NY wedding photojournalist, McKay’s photography was honored to photograph the wedding ceremony and reception for Lisa & Steve on Saturday at Artisan Works!
This wedding was the second for both Lisa and Steve and their gorgeous children were there to support them. What struck me the most about this wedding was how true the term ‘community’ fits the guest list. Every single person there was smiling and happy and moved to be part of this ceremony. There were a plethora of toasts throughout the evening and each one was more touching than the next. Also striking was the creativity present. One couple had nicely and subtly done pointed ears and others had colorful hair or awesome attire. Steve’s parents cracked me up throughout the event, with their obvious lust for life. It was also their 60th wedding anniversary, so they led the party with the first dance!
The food by Madeline’s Catering was top notch as usual and even a guest said something to me about how impressed he was with the level of skill there! My favorite were the pear and brie appetizers. Videography services were provided by the uber stealth and creative Dennis Allen from Epiphany Productions.
During dinner, the universe sent me a multitude of new contacts! I met a woman who makes sustainable wedding attire, a sustainable marketing and slow food guru and many other photographers!
All in all, it was an excellent way to kick off the wedding season and if this is any indication on how my year will go, then I couldn’t be more excited to offer my wedding photography services to all of my Bride and Grooms this year!
