Molly and Eddie’s Engagement :: October 7th, 2009
Molly and Ed are so sweet! Next year I will be their Wedding Photographer and I couldn’t be more excited about that. We took advantage of the nice Fall weather here in Rochester by running around to a few cool spots I found for their Engagement Session. As many of you know, I like to get to know each of my couples and photograph them in places of significance to their personalities. It is one of the things I do to ensure the images are for posterity and not just cool trends with Rochester Wedding Photography. So, Molly and Ed met me over at Highland Park to walk around a little bit. Eddie is currently getting a MBA in Sustainable Business from RIT and so a park seems the perfect place. I am happy to work with someone who has the same goals and ideals that I do and even more happy to see him driving a Hybrid Civic, since I am an avid Civic owner as well. Next, we headed over to some old warehouses near the Food Link donation center to get something a little more edgy and urban to represent Molly’s work. See, Molly is amazing and brave since she works with kids in gangs! An interesting career for sure. Then, for me, we went over to use the Ford St. Bridge for something a little different. I’m always searching for cool new locations in Rochester to photograph, especially since the photographers here are all so closely tied. I try hard to be the first one to use a location, so my work looks a little more fresh than my competition. It does help that I like to ride my bike all over the county though… I find a lot of cool locations that way, including all the ones we used here. It is a good excuse to get exercise when I am really busy with work in the summer. So, if I am ‘location scouting’, then it still feels OK to step away from the computer on a nice day! Here is just a handful from the eSession with Molly and Ed…
