Rochester Wedding with Kate and Ryan  :: September 20th, 2009

An absolutely beautiful Fall day in Rochester, NY for a wedding at St. John’s of Spencerport and the Rochester Museum and Science Center! Congratulations to Kate and Ryan! The ceremony went smoothly at the lovely St. John the Evangelist Church, then Kate wanted a Big Mac! Trey from Diamond’s Limo took the bridal party to McDonalds for a lite lunch before we headed downtown for the formals at Corn Hill Landing! I have to say that limo drivers usually drive me nuts, what with their telling me what photos to take…. However, Trey was awesome! Not only was he a normal, easy going guy, but he also wasn’t in a rush with the Bride and Groom and he didn’t complain when I took him into weird parking situations! I highly recommend him! Corn Hill Landing provides an amazing view of downtown Rochester and the new Troup Howell bridge is an awesome backdrop as well as diffuser for the sun! The light underneath the bridge was perfect for formals and the industrial feel was an interesting balance to the soft beauty of a wedding day. Ryan was really impressed that Rochester had something so nice here! It is amazing the locations I find when I’m out on my weekly bike rides around the city, and I’m happy Ryan thought the same thing. With plenty of time, we headed over to the Rochester Museum and Science Center to freshen up before the cocktail hour and reception. There was a Polariod guest book and a rented cake! You never would have guessed that the cake was fake, since there was a small piece of cake to cut into and eat. How cool. Turner Music provided the DJ and the evening was full of family and friends hanging out and partying. Even when I left, all the guests were still there! What a fun day and I couldn’t have been happier to end the 2009 wedding season with Kate and Ryan! Have an awesome honeymoon in Italy! Oh, one more thing…. the flowers! I see a LOT of flowers and I usually end up helping destroy them throughout the day (not on purpose), but these flowers lasted and looked fresh and amazing ALL day long. I couldn’t believe it! No wilting or anything! Fabulous Flowers are indeed just that… Fabulous!
