Katie & Joe Wedding at Oak Hill Coutry Club :: August 18th, 2009
Even though it was hot and humid, Katie & Joe had a fun and beautiful wedding on Saturday at the St. Louis Catholic Church and reception at Oak Hill Country Club. Gorgeous couple and really sweet families. I think it is so awesome that both families have a long history together and that Katie and Joe met in 1st grade! Even Father made a joke about how happy he was that this relationship was now legit! Their Grandmothers were best friends and their Dads too! At some point, we were able to round up the graduating class of 1972 for a photo op and the drummer for Orient Express was pulled away for the photo! My point is that everyone knew everyone else and it made for a really friendly, open and fun night! How awesome and how rare that both the Bride and Groom‘s families are so intertwined? It was fun to be a part of it all and the dance floor was so packed that I barely could squeeze in there for some shots. Another random fact… the Bride and two Bridesmaids were named Katie. There were all kinds of crazy things like that going on. Near the end of the evening, Joe and his brother, John joined the band and rocked a few songs. They were amazing! Needless to say, it was a beautiful wedding and a whole lot of fun! Oak Hill does such an amazing job of taking care of everyone and it is such a pleasure to work there. Thank you Katie & Joe for having me as your wedding photographer and have an awesome honeymoon!!
