Billone Family Portraiture in Rochester, NY :: July 9th, 2009
Well, with all of this rain coming and going and going and coming, we kept throwing around the idea of rescheduling yet again this Family Portrait Session. Lucky for me, the Billones are very very relaxed and not afraid of a few sprinkles! Honestly, I was actually hoping for just a bit of rain to see what kind of silly images we could create together. Lucky for my camera gear and everyone’s hair, we were blessed with a beautiful 70 degree cloud and sun day at Mendon Ponds Park and their home in Honeoye Falls. This was a dual photo shoot.. their first family portrait in many years as well as High School Senior portraits for JC. Everything went very smooth and the whole family was relaxed and easy to work with. No one was overly posed and I was able to get a little outside of the box with some images, which is nice. JC was a total camera magnet and I love that at 18 he and his only sister get along really well! I was also stoked that he plays the guitar and was willing to do anything I asked… including bounce a soccer ball around over my head and camera… All about trust! The Billones found me through a past client of mine who won my Portrait Session in a silent auction for the South East Area Coalition’s Annual Holiday Fundraiser. So when I pulled up and met John, I knew he looked really familiar. Turns out that he is on the SEAC Board as Chair and I had seen him at the events, but we had never met. I am happy that I am able to repay his dedication and support for my neighborhood and city by taking these family portraits. Here are just a few from the day…
